Thursday Meeting...

Hey guys I work tomorrow so I will not be able to post during the day so I decided I would post tonight. When Cari and I got together the other day we wanted to see if anyone had any input on one of our questions. One of our questions is "How are unit leaders trained to meet the responsibilities of their role? How are they held accountable?" We listed leaders such as charge nurses, preceptors etc. and came up with ways they are held accountable but our question is how our the managers/directors meaning Amanda and Lacy trained to meet the responsibilities of their role and they are held accountable. If anyone has any feedback on this we would greatly appreciate it. If not we would like to submit this question into the group of questions to Amanda and Lacy.
We also were wondering if we are still making a survey for the unit to get feedback. If so we would like to submit a question for the survey. Our question is "What recognition programs are currently in place in our unit that are most important to staff?" Maybe that isn't the best wording but hopefully that gets my point across.

  1. Michele- Maybe we could make it into 2 questions...What recognition programs are in place in the unit? Which ones are the most valuable to you?

    Or maybe even get together a list of anything we can think of and ask "Which of these recognition programs are the most valuable to you? Are there any others that you can think of?"

  4. So I have no clue how to post a big post! Nor how to become a contributor to this website. It says im only following it, however, it's almost 5pm and therefore my post will be here this time.

    When Michele and I got together we went over all the questions and tried to answer them but we fell short on a few. One of the questions is: How do unit leaders guarantee joint accoutability between medical, nursing, and other leaders?
    We were wanting suggestions. One thing we came up with was M&M-there is nursing and doctor.

    One we have for Amanda/Lacy is: How do unit leaders evaulate the effectiveness of reward and recognition programs? How are they improved?
    We thought about how there is a committee for Employee of the month but I have no clue what that is call, and barely found out that it even existed. Therefore, we were wanting to see if we could maybe get a list of all the committees. They might not only help us out on this question but a few others as well.
